A Visitor’s Guide to Miami and What You Need to Know

With cold weather rapidly approaching a warm winter vacation is on everyone’s mind. Air travel being what it is today even the most common and meager minded individual can find an affordable way to get to just about any global destination. Among all the vacation destination options available there is one classic choice that comes to mind. Miami, Florida with it’s warm weather, sunny beaches, and innumerable attractions sticks out as the stateside retreat into warmth and luxury from an otherwise cold harsh winter.
Whether you’re into arts, animals, swimming, or music Miami has something to offer. The Frost art museum featuring American photography from the 1960’s and 1970’s. The Lowe art museum features great pottery, sculptures, and various ceramics from ages spanning throughout history. Miami also has to offer the Venetian Pool. An old limestone quarry converted into the beautiful pool with a waterfall in the 1920’s. Fed by a natural spring the pool is refilled everyday. Of course, even with all the man made attractions in the area who can forget about the natural splendor of the beaches. Due to Miami’s year round warm weather the beaches are always bustling with some kind of activity. Although the water may be too cold to swim in for the winter months action on the sandy beaches is never far off. Some attractions are the Fedex Orange Bowl football game, the South Beach wine and food festival, the Winter Party, the Winter Music Conference, the White Party, and of course the King Mango Strut.
